About Anne 

At the heart of my work is a deep passion for helping the next generation unlock their potential—especially in STEM fields. Having built my career in hospitality, retail, and construction, I’ve witnessed first-hand how education and real-world application can sometimes seem disconnected. This is especially true in maths, where anxiety often creates a barrier for students. My mission is to bridge that gap, alleviate the fear around maths, and ignite a passion for problem-solving and STEM careers beyond the classroom.

Though I didn’t achieve high grades in maths during school, I proved that determination and the right support can lead to success. I earned a First-Class Honours Degree in Construction Management in 2019, gained Chartered Status in 2022, and completed a Post-Graduate Diploma in Quality Management that same year. Now, as a Construction Planner, I apply skills developed throughout my varied career and education, using my experience to help others navigate similar paths.

As an ambassador for STEM and a representative of the Chartered Institute of Building’s (CIOB) Tomorrow’s Leaders programme, I strive to inspire young people to see the possibilities in construction and STEM fields. Whether through mentorship, workshops, or speaking engagements, I dedicate my time to showing that no matter where you start, you can overcome challenges, build skills, and achieve excellence.

In my free time, I work on various STEM outreach activities, aiming to inspire future construction professionals and help young people overcome maths anxiety. I also host a podcast, The Everyday Determinator, where guests from all walks of life share their stories of overcoming challenges and turning them into opportunities for personal growth. The podcast covers essential skills like time management, resilience, and self-care—tools for bringing out the best version of yourself.
